When to Hire a Career Coach?

If you ask 10 people when to hire a Coach, you will probably get 10 different responses. If you conduct a Google search you will find that Coaches are sought out after an individual has applied for numerous jobs and/or is in a desperate position, but Coaches are beneficial at various junctions in your career. Whether you are entering the job market, changing careers, becoming a new manager, advancing to the next level, honing your leadership and management skills, looking to grow professionally, changing organizations, etc., the expertise and support of a Coach can be extremely beneficial.

 

My advice is to not wait until you absolutely need a Coach to hire one!

Overview of How It All Works

I partner with my clients beginning the process with the creation of a tailored/customized Coaching Experience. It is important that I have a clear understanding of my client’s development and growth needs as well as to understand what success looks like to them – what is their desired outcome. It is vital to their success, that we work together to ensure we modify the contents and structure before moving forward.

 

Once we have a clear path, I deliver my custom experiences using various live, interactive platforms and instructions in primarily a virtual, face-to-face as requested, environment.

I offer my clients an experience that ends in success by positioning them to see immediate and near-term results, to implement best practices, and to achieve their strategic goals ensuring they are delivered a return on their investment. My Coaching is a partnership that will enable my clients to progress toward achieving their personal and professional goals with greater clarity, focus, momentum, and success by finding their ‘right’ answers.

Goal: Our goal here is to get you to a place where you are actively planning so that you can reboot so to speak - reigniting your inner power and energy - that power and energy you use to challenge yourself in other aspects and/or situations of your life. We are not looking to change your inner workings but change how you are currently functioning, thinking, living, working, and/or going about your day-to-day. This is not an easy process, particularly not as easy as rebooting your computer by simply pressing the power button. 

Goal: Our goal is to uncover, restore, rejuvenate, and/or renew whether it be your passion, interests, goals, objectives, commitments, skills, talents, education, etc. We need to better understand, and in some cases discover, the reasons that brought you here so that we can help you to self-reflect and set goals. We also need to gain greater insight into your existing skills and talents so that we are better positioned to determine needs, and resources, and align them across a diverse spectrum of career choices. We want to work to enhance and strengthen existing skills and talents and identify needed ones and the best available resources. During this step, we will also focus on identifying any leadership and/or career gaps so that we can provide you with the necessary tools to develop a plan of action for how to best incorporate innovative solutions.

Goal: Our goal here is to ignite a new RESILIENCY! We must have a clear understanding of the things that anchor you so we can develop a plan to deal with and ultimately overcome them and if we are unable to overcome them then devise a plan to ensure they work in your favor and not as a hindrance.

We will work together to identify ways to aid you in overcoming those beliefs that have caused limitations, so we are able to assist, moving forward, in helping you find your voice, so you are comfortable and ultimately positioned to use your voice.

No matter where we are in our lives and careers there is always room for growth and to learn and discover new things.

I help my clients discover their core drivers which assists in the process of understanding what makes them unique while shaping their learning and development aligning with their strengths to realize their full potential.


My Coaching Experiences provide you with the knowledge, support, tools, and awareness to make lifelong mindsets and behavior transformations both personally and professionally. I offer a diverse set of Coaching Experiences that align my ‘Pillars for Finding Your Voice & Unleashing Your Full Potential Framework’ to ensure the specific and unique needs of each individual or team are met whether working in corporate, thinking about a career change, or pivot, considering becoming an entrepreneur, transitioning from the military, thinking about retirement, or seeking leadership or career development. I use a multi-dimensional coaching and transformational learning theories with authentic and actionable practicalities and will provide an objective perspective toward goal setting, the best techniques to measure progress, and implementing best practices that will support you now as well as in the future.  My clients acquire a sense of awareness which allows them to view each situation in a different light and from a different perspective. They achieve a heightened sense of awareness transforming mindsets and behaviors. They develop a degree of confidence resulting in the self-realized power to innovatively create their own solutions and ultimately find clarity. As a result, they lead their organizations through change, foster emotional resilience, ensure growth, they lead influential, powerful, effective leadership teams and/or become members of highly functioning and performing teams. No one knows you better than you! So, in this process, you are the subject matter expert. You will decide, with me as your guide: What our focus will be. What the result will be. Coaching is a process, YOUR process, designed to help you achieve transformational change (i.e., lasting, and fundamental change based on new values, behaviors, and beliefs). Your process can be as structured, I will also respond flexibly depending on your needs, as you deem necessary. The overarching intent is to raise awareness, deepen learning, generate responsibility, and build self-belief.

My Role!

Executive and Career Coaching relationships are partnerships built on trust and mutual respect. In my role as your coach, I will remain focused on guiding you as we work together to develop the right approach to achieve your objectives. I will help you create persistent habits of showing up to discover the endless possibilities on the journey to turn them into realities. 

 

My job is to provide you the tools to implement the necessary actions to complete your master career plan as well as provide coaching during your decision-making, critical thinking, and brainstorming, and follow through assignments processes. In my coaching role, I am not a therapist and any issue that requires such special expertise will be referred to someone else who holds proper credentials.

 

As a certified coach, I will use my years of experience, training, and knowledge as well as effective written and verbal communication skills to support you in achieving your professional and personal goals. As a team, we are more powerful and will work together to position you to achieve lifelong change and take action to achieve your goals.

  • I will listen closely to you, respond to what I hear, and ask questions.
